Look-up request

         While doing my family history research I became interested in the surnames (we call them last names) of the people I was reasearching. I started researching what the various surnames meant, where they came from, etc. The following pages are the results of my research.

        Recently I wrote a paper on the "History of Surnames". This paper gives some background about how surnames came to be used and the different kinds of surnames. The paper also includes some specific examples of surname formation in various countries.
